2 CHRONICLES 35 : 20 – 24
The sad end of King Josiah!
who was instrumental in the spiritual revival of Judah,
who began to seek the LORD when he was just sixteen,
who destroyed all the pagan shrines when he was twenty, and
who purified the land and the temple when he was twenty six,
died when he was just thirty nine!
Unnecessary interfering in another man’s battle!
King Nero of Egypt was on his way to battle against his enemies,
but Josiah decided to fight against king Nero unnecessarily.
Even the King Nero’s patient explanation didn’t have any impact
on Josiah. He went ahead, embraced his own death!
See all his spiritual works!
His desire to purify the temple, his respect for the WORD of GOD,
his pledge to obey the LORD, the way he celebrated passover
and his tireless efforts in the restoration of the temple!
He was an excellent example in the list of kings of Judah!
But the strategic truth is even his spiritual standards were not able
to protect him from the consequence of his stubborn foolishness!
An important strategy of the enemy is to sidetrack a sincere
believer to get entangled in another man’s battle. Whenever
a servant of GOD is having a steady growth, the possibility of
getting tempted to interfere in matters outside his boundary will
Expecting supernatural protection, because of your spiritual
achievements, in the areas outside GOD defined boundary is
Remember, even our LORD JESUS CHRIST declined to obey
the enemy when he misquoted the WORD about angelic
protection!( LUKE 4 : 9 – 12 ).
Discern the difference between acts of faith and adventures of presumption!
A PERSON WHO STRAYS FROM HOME IS LIKE A BIRD
THAT STRAYS FROM ITS NEST ( PROVERBS 27 : 8 ).
PSALM 69 : 6
LET NOT THOSE WHO WAIT FOR YOU,O LORD GOD
OF HOSTS, BE ASHAMED BECAUSE OF ME; LET NOT
THOSE WHO SEEK YOU BE CONFOUNDED BECAUSE
OF ME, O GOD OF ISRAEL.
A different kind of prayer, but a profound one!
It speaks about the responsibility of every shepherd!
Doing our work in such a way that the people who knew the
LORD will get the right counsel and guidance when they are
in their waiting period.
Is it necessary?
Yes, because most of the shepherds will get confused by
seeing the prolonged waiting period of some people and so,
under the assumption of helping them, will give suggestions
contrary to the WORD; Instead of comforting, counselling
and encouraging them to endure, we compromise the will
of GOD by giving alternate ways of deliverance to them!
They get temporary relief but, in the long run, the purpose of
their waiting period gets lost and their growth gets marred!
Even though it is painful to see some of our dear members
suffering with no sign of deliverance, never give in to the
temptation of giving counsel by leaning on your feelings rather
than on the WORD!
Remember, by cutting short the waiting period of a caterpillar,
we actually short circuit its potential to fly as a butterfly in the
Even if it is difficult, again and again fall back on the WORD!
Read and remember the above verse whenever your emotion
disturb your discernment!
Make it your prayer, whenever dealing with suffering people!
We want all our members to be prosperous but not in a
Sanctified suffering is superior than compromised comfort!
Wait on HIM and wait for HIM!
I WAITED PATIENTLY FOR THE LORD;
AND HE INCLINED TO ME, AND HEARD
MY CRY. (PSALM 40 : 1)
King Ahaz faced a crisis; King Rezin of Aram and King Pekah of Israel declared war on Ahaz and besieged Jerusalem; But King Tiglath-pileser of Assyria helped Ahaz by attacking Aram and killing King Rezim.
Somehow, the enemies were crushed.
But a strange thing happened!
King Ahaz, who went to the defeated capital Damascus of Aram, was mesmerized by the altar at Damascus and went to the extreme of building similar altar at Jerusalem!
Because he assumed the reason for the unusual victories the army of Aram got was because of the help those kings got from their gods!
( II CHRONICLES 28 : 23 ).
Even though the army of Aram was defeated, their altar and worship methods conquered Ahaz’s heart!
That led to his ruin and the ruin of all Israel!
Even after victory he failed miserably and the victory became meaningless; Even the temple of GOD lost its glory during his reign!
Further, his attempt of getting help of the heathen king instead of trusting GOD also backfired; King Tiglath-pileser started dictating terms even in the temple related matters! ( II KINGS 16 : 18 )
Even though we follow the victorious Christ, do we secretly admire and appreciate the means and methods of the world?
Do you wish to follow the ‘success steps’ and ‘ victorious ways’ of the gurus and monks?
Does the altar of the enemy appeals to you so much that you started sacrificing your talents, time and treasures at their altar?
Do you trust the ‘stars’ and the ‘psyches’ ?
Do you grieve the Holy Spirit by neglecting GOD’s WORD?
Remember Ahaz and his ruin!
Repair the Altar and ascribe greatness to the LORD and the LORD alone!
STUDY THIS BOOK OF THE LAW CONTINUALLY.
MEDITATE ON IT DAY AND NIGHT SO YOU MAY
BE SURE TO OBEY ALL THAT IS WRITTEN IN IT.
ONLY THEN WILL YOU SUCCEED. ( JOSHUA 1 : 8 )
Have you noticed?
The information about birth of Rebekah in Nahor’s family
reached Abraham after his Mount Moriah experience!
Nahor, Abraham’s brother, was in Ur of Chaldean and
Abraham, before reaching the land near Moriah, wandered
through so many regions including Canaan and Egypt for
After so many decades of wandering, how was it possible
for Abraham to get ‘noise-free’ message about Nahor’s
family in a faraway land?
And in particular, why that information reached Abraham
‘after these things'(GENESIS 22: 20)?
To be specific, whether the name ‘Rebekah’ had any impact
on Abraham’s mind?
Was it GOD’s way of giving hint about the next link in the
fulfillment of the promise given to Abraham?
Remember the promise ‘ I will make your descendants
as the dust of the earth’.
In the first level Issac was there, but to take that to the
next level of fulfillment, Issac needed a partner!
Was it a coincidence that Abraham’s success in the test
at Moriah and the information about Rebekah, the next
link in the promise fulfillment, and her birth reached him
immediately after that?
Was it the reason that Abraham sent his servant to Nahor’s
place to find a bride for Isaac?
Or to make it simple, is it true that whenever we overcome
in a test or temptation, the clarity of communication about
our next level will be excellent?
Kindly test and inform me !
HOW PRECIOUS ALSO ARE YOUR THOUGHTS TO ME, O GOD!
HOW GREAT IS THE SUM OF THEM! ( PSALM 119 : 17 )
1. GENESIS 15 : 4, 5 & 6.
Abraham and Sarah had no children; The word of the
LORD came to Abraham ‘ the one who will come from
your own body shall be your heir’.
Against all the odds, Abraham believed and the LORD
accounted it to him for righteousness.
But, the fulfillment of the promise didn’t happen and
the patience and faith of Abraham got tested;
Hard times; doubting the promise;
Right time for the enemy to give subtle suggestion:
Yes, the subtle suggestion to marry Hagar came through
Sarah, a person who was supposed to encourage Abraham,
and Abraham failed to take a stand!
The subtle suggestion came not from an enemy, but from
the life partner of Abraham!
At least for few days, Sarah became a double agent;
One side accompanied the father of faith and another
side disturbing his faith; Abraham failed!
2. JOB 2 : 4 – 9
Satan challenged GOD;
The challenge? Somehow forcing JOB to curse GOD!
But, the enemy miserably failed in his attempt!
Deaths, losses, calamities and finally cruel sickness;
But JOB did not sin with his lips!
The next option of the enemy?
Yes, a double agent!
Now, JOB’s wife gives the subtle suggestion to the
poor JOB ” curse GOD and die “.
Notice, this is her only recorded speech in the book.
Further, she didn’t just asked Job to die but to curse
GOD and die.
Why ‘curse GOD’?
Remember, the enemy’s challenge; Job to curse GOD!
She echoes the enemy’s challenge in her suggestion;
At least for few minutes, she became a double agent;
One side, went through all the sufferings and losses
and on the other side suggesting Job to curse GOD!
But Job didn’t fail. He didn’t sin!.
The enemy tried his best to eliminate JESUS immediately
after his birth; Mission failed!
In the wilderness, after JESUS’ forty days fasting, the
enemy schemed and manipulated to keep JESUS away
from HIS calling; Mission failed!
The enemy’s next option?
A double agent!
This time the suggestion came from JESUS’ inner circle;
The number one Apostle Peter, not simply suggested,
rebuked JESUS and indirectly tried to stop JESUS from
going to the cross!
At least for few seconds, Peter became a double agent;
One side, exhibiting the gift of revelation and on the other
side, rebuking the way of the cross!
But, JESUS didn’t fail. In fact Peter received the hard rebuke!
See all the double agents!
They all were so close to their leaders and so sincere but
when the leaders were having an overcoming life, they
all, in a mysterious way, became a tool in the enemy’s hand!
And in all the cases, the target is the leader’s life mission!
Love believes all things ( I Corinthian 13: 7 ), but you
are also exhorted to ‘ test all things and hold fast what
is good ( I Thessalonians 5 : 21 ) .
May GOD give you the wisdom to identify the double agents!
WISDOM CALLS ALOUD OUTSIDE.
SHE RAISES HER VOICE IN THE
OPEN SQUARES.(PROVERBS 1 : 20 )
Hello, Mrs Potiphar,
Hope you read my first letter.
Even if not, you can read this;
You know, more than the way you complained about me,
the way my master received that complaint gave me lot
Yes, he knew very well about my faithfulness, my
commitment, my smart work and, above all, the way
GOD blessed the things which were under my care;
Even though I was a slave, he honored me, never treated
me like a slave and not even checked the accounts;
From that kind of person, I expected, at least a honest
inquiry; But as you know, he threw me into the prison
without even considering my track record!
Yes, He believed you and trusted you so much, but you?
Even though I was shaken and cried that night, after some
days it slowly dawned on me that my master had done the
best thing for me; yes, the way you pressurized me for so
many days put me in a situation to consider fleeing as the
only option; But you know, as a slave I could not have the freedom even to flee;
So even your screaming and blaming also became a perfect
protection for me; Instead of screaming, suppose if you have
just ignored that then that would have became a trap for me;
If you allowed me to work in the same place, who knows,
one day or other I might have fallen in your trap!
Yes, in fact, I know some people who were bold in the
beginning in resisting the sexual advances of opposite sex, suddenly failed just because of their prolonged stay near
the source of temptation;
So thank you for your verbal attack;
Further, which was a better place to protect my purity from
the invisible hands of seducing circumstances than the prison?
Was not loneliness better than a compromising company?
Yes, directly or indirectly, your screaming and his fury
became a cover of protection from the lustful arrows!
Finally, I want to share an important thing about my work;
Yes, your husband appreciated the things which I touched
and prospered; He considered them as the best;
But do you know the truth?
My best work was not the things which I touched, but the
things which I left untouched!
Yes, even though I had opportunity and authority to touch,
I left some things, like you, untouched; And in my GOD’s view,
I know, they were the best!
One day or other, your husband will understand that!
I stop now, and if GOD willing, tomorrow I write more!
JOSEPH (s/o I . JACOB ).
A PERSON WITHOUT SELF CONTROL IS AS DEFENSELESS
AS A CITY WITH BROKEN DOWN WALLS (PROVERBS 25:28)
RUTH 1: 4 – 18.
Time of Judges: Israel going away from GOD; Slavery; Short – lived
revivals; Backsliding; Suffering; Crying; GOD sent saviors.
Elimelech, his wife Naomi and sons Mahlon and Chilion went from Bethlehem to Moab, because of famine in Israel. Elimelech died.
Now enters Orpah and Ruth, Moabite woman in to Naomi’s life;
SAME BEGINNING: Ruth and Orpah are from Moab, the land of Lot.
SAME BLESSING: Ruth and Orpah becoming Israelite women because of their marriages.
SAME CRISIS: Ruth and Orpah lost their husbands after ten years.
SAME INITIAL RESPONSE: Ruth and Orpah decided to accompany Naomi
SAME FIRST HINDRANCE: Ruth and Orpah received counsel from Naomi
to stay at Moab and not to accompany her to Bethlehem.
SAME SECOND RESPONSE: Ruth and Orpah lifted their voices and wept.
Rejected Naomi’s counsel.
SAME SECOND HINDRANCE: Ruth and Orpah received detailed explanation
from Naomi about their position and future.
The synonyms becoming antonyms; different directions;
Orpah gave up. Kissed Naomi and left.
But Ruth clung to Naomi.
UNIQUE TEMPTATION: Ruth again got a counsel from Naomi, to go back to
Moab, strengthening her logic with Orpah as the example!
UNIQUE DETERMINATION: Your people are my people; Your GOD, my GOD:
You know the story; The consequence; Her marriage with Boaz;
Becoming the great grand mother of King David (Ruth 4: 16 – 22).
Crossing the Old testament and entering the New Testament and getting a place in the list, the genealogy of JESUS CHRIST(Matthew 1: 5).
Where is Orpah? You know, that is not important at all.
So many similarities, but one difference, one choice, only once;
Oh, the power of wise choice; the fruit of perseverance; the influence
and impact of one surrendered life; Who can measure it?
But if you think it is the end, you will miss out the pivotal truth;
Ruth is from Moab; the land of Lot;
Remember Lot’s wife? Remember Lot’s daughters?
Read their failures in the Book of Genesis; wondrous woman possible in these types of family trees?
Yes, Ruth is coming from that type of sin stained, blessings lost, forsaken and forgotten generation of Lot;
Boaz marrying Ruth is actually a sign of GOD’s overflowing grace;
Boaz, from the family of Abraham, from the Promise generation marrying
Ruth, from the family of Lot, the perverse generation;
GOD’s love engulfing even the gentiles, if they permit!
worrying about your family background? Your fathers and forefathers way
of rebellious living? feeling worthless because of your caste and past?
Ashamed of your failures and lost opportunities?
Cheer up; Remember Ruth; One girl’s determination to live for GOD;
One girl’s desire to please the Lord against all the odds, even when
there is no example, no companion;
A wondrous woman!
Don’t give up; Who knows? You may be the Ruth of this generation!
I THOUGHT ABOUT MY WAYS, AND TURNED MY
FEET TO YOUR TESTIMONIES( PSALM 119 : 59 )
MARK 6 : 23 – 28.
Daughter of Herodias; A peculiar character in the Bible.
Dancing to the tune of the musician, the first minute;
Dancing to the tune of a seductress, the next minute;
Dressed to dance, danced to kill, killed to satisfy her mother.
Just think about her talent, impressed the king and the crowd;
At that tender age, forced the king to dance to her tune;
Able to get a promise from the king ‘up to half of my kingdom’;
See her position; a victim of her mother’s adultery,
Separated from her father, emotionally wounded,
Carrying a stigma because of her mother;
The king’s promise; is it not an opportunity to take revenge?
One word from her can abort herodias’ abominable life.
At least freedom from Herodias and Herod, if not the revenge.
But this girl moves like a puppet; The power of illicit sex;
Dancing feet and dumb head; Active body and passive mind;
See the consequence; Getting her mother’s advice, good, but
After getting the advice just watch the girl; No shock, No fear;
She ran in quickly to apply the advice; Is it not cruel?
Sin brainwashed soul; No emotion; No feelings;
That is not the end; see the Scripture carefully;
She carried the head of John the Baptist on a platter;
Neither a servant nor a soldier, but this little girl,
Like a seasoned hit man so casually, so boldly;
The head and the blood did not disturb her;
The value and the meaning of life are alien to her;
How was it possible? Was she not cruel?, At this age;
Please don’t judge her; She is just an example;
An example from the vast crowd of robotic kids,
Whose emotions got damaged and diminished by the
sexual immorality of parents; Confused; wounded;
What a pity?, Please don’t judge her;
But judge yourself!
Married?, Check whether your sex life, physical and mental,
Is within the boundary of marriage? If not, remember that girl;
Single?, Check whether your sex life, physical and mental,
Is the gift assigned only to your life partner,
To be opened only after the covenant in His Presence?
Next time when your eyes and hands move towards that
Pornographic site, please remember that little girl ;
Next time when your mind tries to justify your premarital
Or extra marital affair, please remember that little girl;
So talented, so trained, but so poor, so week;
Excellent education, enormous wealth for our kids;
Is that not sufficient? Why bother about the secret life?
Please remember that little girl!
Please cut, come back, repent, honor your marriage vows;
Before your kids become like that poor little girl!
CAN A MAN TAKE FIRE TO HIS BOSOM,
AND HIS CLOTHES NOT BE BURNED? ( PROVERBS 6 : 27).
MARK 6 : 20
John the Baptist in the prison;
Imprisoned because of his commitment to the truth;
His preaching ministry in the wilderness got disturbed;
Is it temporary or permanent? No idea;
From the wilderness to the prison, and not to the palace!
Is it a shortcut to the palace, like in the case of Joseph in Egypt?
A chance to become the official priest of Herod’s kingdom?
Ministry expansion?, Chance to preach from palace?
God’s time to reward John’s faithfulness in the wilderness?
Herod’s hatred slowly becoming acceptance, is it a sign?
A sign that a deliverance and promotion are waiting?
King’s frequent visits and willingness to obey John’s words,
A confirmation to a comfortable future?
But, at what cost?
A slight change in his conviction?
Little compromise? A single word of approval?
Approval of the illicit affair of Herod?
See the possibilities; A silent nod can change everything;
John the Baptist got tempted?
We don’t know, nothing mentioned in the Bible ;
But, surely he got disturbed, he got confused,
To the extend of doubting even Jesus,
To the extend of sending his disciples to Jesus,
To question Jesus and His mission!
A desert trained prophet getting depressed? distressed?
Confidential conflicts and confusing attacks in his mind?
Prolonged imprisonment and loneliness breaking his will?
Silence of Jesus suffocating his inner man?
John suffered, but how cruelly he suffered? Who knows?
But he won; he never gave up; never compromised;
Never came down from his convictions to win any favor;
In fact, even in prison he shows favor to Herod by his teachings!
Lost his life in the end, but never lost his calling;
What about you?. Entering February, the month of valentine!
A month of temptation to the singles and the married!
To the singles, to prove to their group ‘ I got my Valentine’!
To the married to show to the world ‘ Even now, I can get a valentine’!
At what cost? By compromising what?
Eros eroding your convictions in this e-world?
Preparing yourself to sleep with the serpent?
Compromising the privilege of walking with THE LION?
Ask Samson; He will tell you the bitter truth;
Walking with the Lion and sleeping with the serpent
Made him a clown in front of the crowd!
Ask Herod and he will tell you the same!
But ask John the Baptist, he will tell you;
Better to be lonely than to compromise;
Better to be faithful than famous;
Better to face the prison wall than to dance in the seducer’s hall;
Better to WALK with THE LION than to sleep with the serpent!
Planning to celebrate valentine’s day?
Go celebrate, not with the world but with THE WORD;
Enjoy an extended time of embrace with your Eternal Lover;
The soft and silky, smooth and silent , seducer calling you to bed?
Remember, The WORD, The LION, your Lover crushed its head!
Advanced Valentine’s Day wishes!
…I AM CONVINCED THAT NOTHING CAN
EVER SEPARATE US FROM HIS LOVE……
…….. . FROM THE LOVE OF GOD THAT IS
REVEALED IN CHRIST JESUS OUR LORD ( ROMANS 8 : 38, 39 )
Today I deliberately choose to submit myself fully to God as He has made Himself known to me through the Holy Scripture which I honestly accept as the only inspired, infallible, authoritative standard for all life and practice. In this day I will not judge God, His work, myself or others on the basis of feelings or circumstances.
1. I recognize by faith that the triune God is worthy of all honor, praise, and worship as the Creator, Sustainer and End of all things. I confess that God, as my Creator made me for Himself. In this day I therefore choose to live for Him. (Rev 5:9-10; Is 43:1, 7, 21; Rev 4:11).
2. I recognize by faith that God loved me and chose me in Jesus Christ before time began (Eph 1: 1-7).
3. I recognize by faith that God has proven His love to me in sending His Son to die in my place, in whom every provision has already been made for my past, present and future needs through His representative work and that I have been quickened, raised, seated with Jesus Christ in the heavenlies, and anointed with the Holy Spirit (Ro 5:6-11; 8:28-39; Phil 1:6; 4:6-7,13, 19; Eph 1:3 ; 2: 5-6; Ac 2: 1-4, 33).
4. I recognize by faith that God has accepted me, since I have received Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour (Jn 1:12; Eph 1:6); that He has forgiven me (Eph 1:7); adopted me into His family, assuming every responsibility for me (Jn 17:11,17; Eph 1:5; Phil 1: 6); given me eternal life (Jn 3:36; 1Jn 5: 9-13); applied the perfect righteousness of Christ to me so that I am now justified (Ro 5:1; 8: 3-4; 10: 4); made me complete in Christ (Col 2:10); and offers Himself to me as my daily sufficiency through prayer and the decisions of faith (1 Co 1:30; Col 1:27; Gal 2:20; Jn 14: 13-14; Mt 21:22; Ro 6:1-19; Heb 4: 1-3,11).
5. I recognize by faith that the Holy Spirit has baptized me into the Body of Christ(1 Co 12:13); sealed me (Eph 1:13-14); anointed me for life and service(Ac 1:8; Jn 7:37-39); seeks to lead me into a deeper walk with Jesus Christ (Jn 14:16-18; 15:26-27; 16:13-15; Ro 8:11-16); and to fill my life with Himself (Eph 5:18).
6. I recognize by faith that only God can deal with sin and only God can produce holiness of life. I confess that in my salvation my part was only to receive Him and that He dealt with my sin and saved me. Now I confess that in order to live a holy life. I can only surrender to His will and receive Him as my sanctification; trusting Him to do whatever may be necessary in my life, without and within, so I may be enabled to live today in purity, freedom, rest and power for His glory (Jn 1:12; 1 Co 1:30; 2 Co 9:8; Gal 2:20; Heb 4: 9; 1 Jn 5:4 Jude 24).
Having Confessed that God is worthy of all praise, that the Scriptures are the only authoritive standard, that only God can deal with sin and produce holiness of life, I again recognize my total dependence upon Him and submission to Him. I accept the truth that praying in faith is absolutely necessary for the realization of the will and grace of God in my daily life ( 1 Jn 5: 14-15; Ja 2:6; 4:2-3; 5:16-18; Phil 4:6-7; Heb 4: 1-13; 11:6, 24-28).
Recognizing that faith is a total response to God by which the daily provisions the Lord has furnished in Himself are appropriated, I therefore make the following decisions of faith:
1. For this day (Heb 3:6, 13, 15:4:7) I make the decision of faith to surrender wholly to the authority of God as He has revealed Himself in the Scripture – to obey Him. I confess my sin, face the sinful reality of my old nature, and deliberately choose to walk in the light, in step with Christ, throughout the hours of this day (Ro 6: 16-20; Phil 2:12-13;1 Jn 1:7,9).
2. For this day I make the decision of faith to surrender wholly to the authority of God as revealed in the Scripture to believe Him. I accept only His Word as final authority. I now believe that since I have confessed my sin, He has forgiven and cleansed me (1 Jn 1:9). I accept at full value His word of promise to be my sufficiency and rest, and will conduct myself accordingly (Ex 33:1; 1 Co 1:30; 2 Co 9:8; Phil 4:19).
3. For this day I make the decision of faith to recognize that God has made every provision so that I may fulfill His will and calling. Therefore, I will not make any excuse for my sin and failure(1 Th 5:24).
4. For this day I make the decision of faith deliberately to receive from God that provision which He has made for me. I renounce all self-effort to live the Christian life and to perform God’s service; renounce all sinful praying which asks God to change circumstances and people so that I may be more spiritual; renounce all drawing back
from the work of the Holy Spirit within and the call of God without; and renounce all nonbiblical motives, goals, and activities which serve my sinful pride.
a. I now sincerely receive Jesus Christ as my sanctification, particularly as my cleansing from the old nature, and ask the Holy Spirit to apply to me the work of Christ accomplished for me in the crucifixion. In cooperation with and dependence upon Him, I obey the command to “put off the old man” (Ro 6:1; 1 Co 1:30; Gal 6:14; Eph 4:22).
b. I now sincerely receive Jesus Christ as my sanctification, particularly as my enablement moment by moment to live above sin, and ask the Holy Spirit to apply to me the work of the resurrection so that I may walk in newness of life. I confess that only God can deal with my sin and only God can produce holiness and the fruit of the Spirit in my life. In cooperation with and dependence upon Him, I obey the command to “Put on the new man” (Ro 6: 1-4; Eph 4: 24).
c. I now sincerely receive Jesus Christ as my deliverance from Satan and take my position with Him in the heavenlies, asking the Holy Spirit to apply to me the work of the ascension. In His Name I submit myself to God and stand against all of Satan’s influence and subtlety. In cooperation with and dependence upon God, I obey the command to “resist the devil” (Eph 1:20-23; 2:5; 4:27; 6:10-18; Col 1 :13; Heb 2:14-15; Ja 4:7; 1Pe 3:22; 5:8-9).
d. I now sincerely receive the Holy Spirit as my anointing for every aspect of life and service for today. I fully open my life to Him to fill me afresh in obedience to the command to “be filled with the Holy Spirit” (Eph 5:18; Jn 7:37-39; 14:16-17; 15:26-27; 16:7-15; Ac 1:8).
Having made this confession and these decisions of faith, I now receive God’s promised rest for this day (Heb 4:1-13). Therefore, I relax in the trust of faith, knowing that in the moment of temptation, trial, or need, the Lord Himself will be there as my strength and sufficiency (1 Co 10:13).
