PSALM 69 : 6
LET NOT THOSE WHO WAIT FOR YOU,O LORD GOD
OF HOSTS, BE ASHAMED BECAUSE OF ME; LET NOT
THOSE WHO SEEK YOU BE CONFOUNDED BECAUSE
OF ME, O GOD OF ISRAEL.
A different kind of prayer, but a profound one!
It speaks about the responsibility of every shepherd!
Doing our work in such a way that the people who knew the
LORD will get the right counsel and guidance when they are
in their waiting period.
Is it necessary?
Yes, because most of the shepherds will get confused by
seeing the prolonged waiting period of some people and so,
under the assumption of helping them, will give suggestions
contrary to the WORD; Instead of comforting, counselling
and encouraging them to endure, we compromise the will
of GOD by giving alternate ways of deliverance to them!
They get temporary relief but, in the long run, the purpose of
their waiting period gets lost and their growth gets marred!
Even though it is painful to see some of our dear members
suffering with no sign of deliverance, never give in to the
temptation of giving counsel by leaning on your feelings rather
than on the WORD!
Remember, by cutting short the waiting period of a caterpillar,
we actually short circuit its potential to fly as a butterfly in the
Even if it is difficult, again and again fall back on the WORD!
Read and remember the above verse whenever your emotion
disturb your discernment!
Make it your prayer, whenever dealing with suffering people!
We want all our members to be prosperous but not in a
Sanctified suffering is superior than compromised comfort!
Wait on HIM and wait for HIM!
I WAITED PATIENTLY FOR THE LORD;
AND HE INCLINED TO ME, AND HEARD
MY CRY. (PSALM 40 : 1)
MARK 6 : 1 – 6
JESUS preached in His hometown; The message was full of wisdom and power but the people refused to believe in him!
The knowledge about JESUS and His family became a stumbling block for the people to believe him even though they witnessed the wisdom and power of GOD!
Result: JESUS couldn’t do any miracle there!
Dear friend, Knowing JESUS and knowing about JESUS are not the same; Most of us know so many things and details about JESUS but try to live our life without knowing JESUS!.
Because of this knowledge, most of the times we ignore HIS visitations and waste the opportunity to know him more.
Some of us, after a time of closed walk with JESUS, will reach an imaginary saturation stage and after that dissect the WORD as if It
is a corpse in the hands of a medical student preparing the death analysis!
Remember, the WORD of GOD is living!
Don’t handle it like handling a corpse! Pray before, during and after reading the WORD!
When ever you read the WORD, humble yourself and ask for the illumination of the HOLY SPIRIT!
Remember, the people of Nazareth were able to see the power and wisdom of the WORD and even got astonished but that didn’t help them to receive HIM or HIS miracles!
We are reading the WORD not to convince others about our wisdom but to get convicted of our own foolishness!
Allow the WORD of GOD to read you, study you, dissect you and analyse you so that JESUS, the WORD, can do many miracles to and through you! That is the path of blessing!
FOR THE WORD OF GOD IS FULL OF LIVING
POWER. IT IS SHARPER THAN THE SHARPEST
KNIFE, CUTTING DEEP INTO OUR INNERMOST
THOUGHTS AND DESIRES. IT EXPOSES US FOR
WHAT WE REALLY ARE. ( HEBREWS 4 : 12 )
When a person becomes a king, he is expected to write for
himself a copy of the law in a book!
Think about a king’s time consuming responsibilities;
Taking care of his people, protecting his land from the enemies, strengthening the economy and security, etc.. etc…
Expecting that kind of person to write his own copy of the law?
Why not outsource that writing to some one else?
But the WORD of GOD is very clear!
The king has to write for himself!
Not just writing, but
The copy should be with him;
And he must it read it all the days of life!
To learn to fear the LORD GOD;
And to observe all the words of this law!
If this is a commandment to a king, what about us?
We boast about our heavenly position in Christ, our authority as
a believer and our privileges; We feel happy about our title ‘Royal
But how much we honor the WORD?
How many of us have the habit of writing (or typing) at least
few verses, if not the whole Bible, regularly?
How many of us are reading it every day?
Most of us are glued to the television for more than 120 minutes
just to watch a game; ‘ Is it right or wrong?’ is not the question, but
When was the last time you were so glued to the WORD of GOD
for more than 120 minutes at a stretch with so much attention and enthusiasm?
If your mind is having the potential to remember all the players and
the statistics, what excuse you are having for not knowing even the
list of all the books of the Bible?
Your likes, comments, shares and discussions about someone’s
victory is not going to give you any benefit; but the Victory our LORD
got is giving us all the benefits but HIS WORD is not getting any like, comment, share from our side because we are not keeping HIS
WORD with us!.
Remember, what they got is just an empty cup but what you can
get is the crown of glory!
Honor the WORD; Honor the SON;
Ignoring this will certainly be a sin!
I HAVE WRITTEN FOR HIM THE GREAT THINGS OF MY
LAW, BUT THEY WERE CONSIDERED A STRANGE
THING. ( HOSEA 8 : 12 )
GENESIS 50 : 7 – 14.
Jacob’s burial service; Joseph and his brothers
along with a big crowd went from Egypt to
the land of Jacob, completed the rituals and
came back to Egypt.
Only a few days affair!
No difficulty mentioned about the journey!
In fact, The Bible takes only eight verses for that!
But, during Moses’ time, Moses and Israelites took
nearly forty years for their journey; journey full of
problems, punishments, deaths, wanderings, …. .
From Egypt to the land of Jacob;
A separate book ‘ EXODUS’ deals with that!
Reason: Lack of faith, murmurings and rebellions!
Dear friend, it is possible for us to make some of
the simple assignments into a most complex and
painful projects just because of our attitude!
Doubting GOD’s goodness, blaming others for the
temporary setbacks, murmuring against GOD’s
provision and protection are sure time eaters in
Want to be efficient and effective?
Trust Him and His words;
Stay away from murmurers;
Thank HIM always;
Lean on HIM and walk.
Have an abundant life!
AS FOR GOD, HIS WAY IS PERFECT;
THE WORD OF THE LORD IS
FLAWLESS. (2 SAMUEL 22: 31)
